"The flowers fall in attachment, and the weeds spring up in aversion."
— Genjōkōan
The Prompt:
We want you to create something that captures the heartbreaking yet beautiful truth: nothing lasts, and that’s exactly what makes things precious. Your submission should make us feel the sweet ache of fleeting moments – the way a sunset moves you precisely because it’s disappearing, or how childhood feels magical in hindsight because it’s gone forever.
How to Participate:
- Create anything: a poem, story, photograph, painting, song, mathematical equation, or even a 3-word microstory
- Focus on moments/things that are beautiful because they’re temporary or society’s obsession with permanence (eternal youth, legacy, etc.).
- Submit your Fable Before 30th of July
